As lead consultant for the Birmingham New Street Station project, Atkins is providing a range of services that will double the passenger capacity of the station and act as a stimulus for the regeneration of surrounding areas.

The project sees the £600m remodelling and refurbishment of the Birmingham New Street Station in the heart of Birmingham to create a world-class gateway to the UK's second largest city. Atkins' proposed design improves connectivity to the city and public transportation and includes a dramatic new atrium bringing natural light into the centre of the concourse.
