The city-wide CCTV system in Kingston upon Hull in England is one of the largest networks in the UK. It consists of more than 450 cameras, complex network connections and a control room and emergency planning suite. Atkins has played a fundamental role in designing the system and supporting implementation and subsequent development to meet new requirements.

We worked closely with the local council to provide the technical expertise needed for the system design and to undertake project management of the contract for the duration of the installation.

We provided a detailed schedule and camera coverage drawings to find a solution appropriate to the client’s budget and ensured that the requirements were developed into a comprehensive and advanced technical specification.
