Legible London is a unique system of on-street signs, maps and guide posts designed to make it quicker and easier to walk around the capital. A pilot programme was run in the popular South Bank and Bankside areas of London, home to some of the UK’s busiest and most iconic tourist attractions and transport interchanges.

Atkins led the development, testing and implementation of this scheme in preparation for a city-wide roll out. Our team worked closely with local councils, Business Improvement Districts and private landowners to ensure a comprehensive information system was created and that it met the expectations of residents, business people and visitors.
