Following the merger of Lloyds TSB and Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) into Lloyds Banking Group, Atkins played a key role in the integration of the two property portfolios. Our change experts were integral in the mobilisation of the facilities management delivery model – the property helpdesk, finance processes, property systems, asset strategy, and health & safety.

Based on our excellent track record with HBOS prior to the merger, Lloyds Banking Group chose Atkins as their managing agent partner for facilities management (FM) provision across the Group. With its combined portfolio of 3,400 properties, the bank needed to rationalise FM services thus delivering efficiency and cost savings whilst maintaining operational excellence. Total mobilisation was completed within five months – on time and on budget. We rolled three helpdesks into one and installed Atkins Intelligence – our web-based work-order management system with handling capacity for more than 435,000 incoming calls and 350,000 work orders per annum.
